Check your wallet balance, send, receive, or even trade right through the app. Every transaction gets verified and signed directly on the hardware wallet before moving.

Security and Trezor

The Safe 3 packs an EAL6+ certified secure element chip. This secure element kicks in especially hard if some unwanted person gets physical access to your Safe 3. That’s a big difference from the Trezor One and Trezor T. Those two OGs don’t have a secure element.

When setting up the Safe 3, you get a recovery seed. The default setup is a 12-word recovery seed. You can also opt for a Shamir backup. The Safe 3 supports CoinJoin, coin control, and Tor for Bitcoin transfers.

You can set up a PIN on the Safe 3. You’ll need to enter this PIN every time you use it. Plus, there’s an option to add a passphrase. That’s an extra word as part of the recovery seed.

Trezor’s crypto wallet firmware is fully open-source.

Which Coins Can the Trezor Hardware Wallet Handle?

The Trezor hardware wallet handles most well-known coins. Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Cardano, and Avalanche are basics, but it also supports all ERC20 tokens.
